Refinished Buffet

This was a rescued piece, literally! A neighbor had tied a rope around it and drug it out of an old storage building he had.  He banged it up pretty bad! He was about to burn it (gasp) when my father in law walked up.  My fil told him I might would like to have it.  Duh, YEAH!  This was my first attempt at a crackle finish.  I am well pleased with the end result.

Reclaimed/repurposed Buffet

A neighbor had drug and yes I mean drug this out of an old storage building he had.  Tied a rope around it and drug it out with his tractor!!  He was about to burn it (gasp) when my father-in-law came up and told him I would probably like to have this.  Duh, YES!!  This was my first attempt using a crackle finish.  I'm happy with it!

Wagon Wheel Light Fixture

Another project completed!  My husband had to help a bit with this one.  He did the electrical wiring, welding, and hanging the heavy thing!!

The light covers are made out of old gutter guard material.  I took a candle holder apart for the light bases, and the chain was "hanging" around in my father-in-laws barn.  A smaller plow wheel brings it together at the top.

Materials used:
Front wheel off old plow; mesh wire gutterguard; old barbed wire; vintage measuring cup; pvc piped covered with "rusted" effect paint; threaded rods, nuts, washers etc... I am so pleased with the end result! One down, one to go!!

Repurposed windows!

I needed something to display my vintage bottle collection in our rustic outdoor kitchen. My husbands uncle had 20-25 old windows. We framed them out and built a shelf to go across the middle with some old fence wood we had. I treated the fence lumber and the windows with a whitewash. I think the end result is fantastic!!!

My lastest project - repurposed pallet & old sewing machine base

This was a fairly fast and easy project.
